Quinn was 7 years old when she had a stroke caused by a bleeding tumour. It was just after this time that I met her at Ronald McDonald House in Auckland. Cooking with such a young cancer patient was challenging but Quinn was determined. Often she was too sick to eat, but she still wanted to be engaged in the process. Her spirit was infectious.

Caitlin is in High School in a special needs area with a fabulous bunch of kids. I met her when she was still a Primary student and she still totally loves to cook. Visiting her at school in Tauranga through a give-back event, thanks to G J Gardner Homes was a wonderful experience for all of us.
How we give back is so important. These kids show how much they loved our visit. But we need to let you know what they learned too.
